| 20 | 20 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Assembly convened: |
|---|

| 23 | 23 | | That title 18 of the general statutes be amended to establish safe 1 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | staffing committees: (1) For (A) each adult correctional facility 2 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | composed of the warden of each facility, one deputy warden, one 3 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | captain, one lieutenant, two line officers with at least five years of 4 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | experience, one counseling supervisor, one counselor, one nursing 5 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | supervisor, two nurses, one facility physician, one licensed social 6 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | worker, one addictions services specialist, one teacher and one technical 7 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | job trainer, or their designees, and the Corrections Ombuds or the 8 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | ombuds' designee, and (B) each youth facility, which shall include the 9 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | membership described in subparagraph (A) of this subdivision and two 10 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | staff members of the Department of Children and Families; (2) for which 11 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | members shall be selected by the warden unless the job category has 12 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | unionized members, in which case the union shall decide which 13 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | member to appoint to the staffing committee; (3) that shall establish safe 14 |
|---|
