AN ACT REQUIRING CERTAIN HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO COMMUNICATE ANY SAFETY PLAN PRESCRIBED TO A MINOR PATIENT UPON DISCHARGE WITH SUCH MINOR PATIENT'S SCHOOL. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require each hospital and 1 emergency psychiatric health care provider that prescribes a safety plan 2 to a minor patient upon discharge to communicate, with the consent of 3 such minor patient's parent or legal guardian, such safety plan with the 4 minor patient's school. 5 Statement of Purpose: To promote student safety at schools by requiring hospitals and emergency psychiatric health care providers to communicate any safety plan prescribed to a minor patient with such minor patient's school.
