AN ACT ESTABLISHING ACCOUNTABILITY MEASURES FOR
MATERNITY CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Public Health to develop a report card for hospitals 2
and birthing centers to evaluate maternity care. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce maternal mortality rates, promote transparency and ensure
high-quality maternity care across the state.
