AN ACT PROHIBITING THE ASSESSMENT OF CERTAIN FINES
AGAINST COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE OWNERS AND
OPERATORS UNTIL WEIGH STATIONS ARE OPENED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 248 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
officers from assessing fines against the owner or operator of a 2
commercial motor vehicle for parking on the shoulder of a highway or 3
operating an overweight commercial motor vehicle until such time as 4
the weigh stations are open and parking is available at such weigh 5
stations. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit officers from assessing certain fines against the owners and
operators of commercial motor vehicles until weigh stations are opened.
