AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN FEDERAL VETERANS' BENEFITS
AND INCOME ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATIONS FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC
ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to disregard from 1
income all United States Department of Veterans Affairs-administered 2
non-service-connected pension benefits and Housebound pension 3
benefits granted to a veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran when 4
determining income eligibility for certain public assistance programs. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To disregard from income certain federal veterans' benefits when
determining eligibility for certain public assistance programs.
