AN ACT PROHIBITING THE STATE AND MUNICIPALITIES FROM
ACCEPTING CERTAIN TYPES OF FUNDING FOR ELECTIONS -
RELATED PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the state or 1
any municipality from accepting any money from any individual, for-2
profit organization or nonprofit organization for the purpose of funding 3
elections-related expenses, including the administration of elections and 4
voter registration efforts. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the state and municipalities from accepting certain types of
funding for elections-related purposes.
