AN ACT CONCERNING VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES AND
EARLY VOTING AT PRIMARIES AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that (1) at 1
any election, the day immediately preceding such election shall be the 2
final day at which a person is allowed to register to become an elector, 3
and (2) at any primary or special election, early voting shall only be 4
available on the Wednesday through Saturday immediately preceding 5
such primary or special election. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To modify the voter registration deadline prior to elections and limit the
early voting period at primaries and special elections.
