AN ACT CONCERNING SAME -DAY ELECTION REGISTRATION AND
A VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) eliminate same-1
day election registration, and (2) provide that the fifth day prior to an 2
election shall be the last day that a person may be admitted as an elector 3
for purposes of voting in such election. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate same-day election registration and impose a voter
registration deadline of the fifth day before an election.
