AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF ACCELERATED REHABILITATION IN THE CASES OF CERTAIN ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 54-56e of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 any person charged with animal abuse that involves violence, starvation 2 or death of an animal be prohibited from using the accelerated 3 rehabilitation program. 4 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit any person charged with animal abuse that involves violence, starvation or death of an animal from using the accelerated rehabilitation program.
