AN ACT CONCERNING A PILOT PROGRAM TO MITIGATE THE
BENEFITS CLIFF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Social Services and the Office of Early Childhood, in consultation with 2
the Labor Department, the Department of Housing, the Office of 3
Workforce Strategy and the two-generational initiative established 4
pursuant to section 17b-112l of the general statutes, to establish a pilot 5
program to mitigate benefits cliffs in public benefit programs in 6
accordance with the recommendations of a report that was produced 7
pursuant to special act 24-8. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To implement a pilot program to mitigate the benefits cliff in certain
public benefits programs in accordance with a report produced
pursuant to special act 24-8.
