1920 AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRANSFER TO MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS
2021 OF VOTING TABULATORS AND ACCESSORIES PURCHASED BY
2122 THE SECRETARY OF THE STATE.
2223 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2526 Section 1. Section 9-239 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
2627 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 2
2728 (a) The fiscal authority in each municipality shall authorize payment 3
2829 of the bill incurred for the purchase or lease or other method of 4
2930 acquisition of an adequate number of voting tabulators incurred by the 5
3031 officials who are responsible for providing the same under the 6
3132 provisions of section 9-238. 7
3233 (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section 8
3334 and section 9-238, the Secretary of the State may purchase directly from 9
3435 the manufacturer of a voting tabulator approved under section 9-241 10
3536 voting tabulators or voting tabulator accessories and subsequently 11
3637 transfer ownership of any such voting tabulator or voting tabulator 12
