16 | 23 | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) (a) As used in this section: 1 | |
17 | 24 | (1) "Health care provider" means any person, corporation, limited 2 | |
18 | 25 | liability company, facility or institution operated, owned or licensed by 3 | |
19 | 26 | the state to provide health care or other professional services, or an 4 | |
20 | 27 | officer, employee or agent thereof acting in the course and scope of his 5 | |
21 | 28 | or her employment; 6 | |
22 | 29 | (2) "Minor child" means a person who is under eighteen years of age; 7 | |
23 | 30 | (3) "Physician" means a physician licensed pursuant to chapter 370 of 8 | |
24 | 31 | the general statutes; and 9 | |
25 | 32 | (4) "Services, examination or treatment related to pregnancy and 10 | |
26 | 33 | pregnancy prevention" (A) includes, but is not limited to, contraceptive 11 | |
27 | 34 | counseling and services, prenatal care and appropriate care and pain 12 | |
28 | 35 | management during labor and delivery, including, but not limited to, 13 | |
29 | 36 | epidural administration, but (B) does not include sterilization. 14 | |

54 | 63 | regulations of Connecticut state agencies posted on the eRegulations 35 | |
55 | 64 | System to comply with the provisions of chapter 54 of the general 36 | |
