CARPINO, 32nd Dist. RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION CONCERNING TERM LIMITS FOR THE OFFICE OF GOVERNOR. Resolved by this Assembly: That the Constitution of the state be amended to provide that (1) no 1 person shall be elected to the office of Governor more than twice, and 2 (2) no person who has held the office of Governor, or acted as Governor, 3 for more than two years of a term to which another person was elected 4 to said office shall be elected to the office of Governor more than once. 5 Statement of Purpose: To propose a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on the office of Governor.
