	19	+	AN ACT REQUIRING THE INCREASING OF THE BOATING SPEED
	20	+	LIMIT ON WYASSUP LAKE IN NORTH STONINGTON DURING THE
	21	+	SUMMER MONTHS.
12	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
13	23		Assembly convened:

15		-	Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2025) The Commissioner of Energy 1
16		-	and Environmental Protection shall conduct any requisite survey of, 2
17		-	and provide for the care and maintenance of, Wyassup Lake, in the town 3
18		-	of North Stonington, and may enter into an agreement with any official, 4
19		-	agency or contractor, as defined in section 4-255 of the general statutes, 5
20		-	for the joint care and maintenance of such lake, provided any expense 6
21		-	for such care and maintenance shall be paid by the Department of 7
22		-	Energy and Environmental Protection. 8
23		-	Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision 9
24		-	of the general statutes, the period of time for operation of watercraft on 10
25		-	Wyassup Lake, in the town of North Stonington, shall be from the 11
26		-	Saturday prior to Memorial Day to the Saturday after Labor Day 12
27		-	weekend. 13
	25	+	Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than April 1, 2026, 1
	26	+	the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection shall adopt 2
	27	+	regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 of the 3
	28	+	general statutes, to increase the speed limit for boating during the 4
	29	+	summer months on Wyassup Lake in the town of North Stonington. 5
28	30		This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
29	31		sections:
