AN ACT CONCERNING POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT RATES
ABOVE WHOLESALE PRICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Commissioner 1
of Energy and Environmental Protection or any electric distribution 2
company from entering into a power purchase agreement that provides 3
for the purchase of electricity at a rate exceeding one hundred fifty per 4
cent of the wholesale price of electricity 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection
or electric distribution companies from entering into a power purchase
agreement if the price for electricity under such agreement exceeds one
hundred fifty per cent of the wholesale price of electricity.
