AN ACT PROHIBITING STATE AGENCIES FROM CHARGING
SERVICE FEES FOR PAYMENTS MADE BY CERTAIN MEANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit state agencies from 1
charging payors a service fee for payment by means of a credit card, 2
charge card or debit card. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit state agencies from charging payors a service fee for
payment by means of a credit card, charge card or debit card.
