AN ACT PROHIBITING THE MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION, 
DELIVERY OR SALE OF FOODS CONTAINING CERTAIN ADDITIVES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 417 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 
no person doing business in this state shall manufacture, distribute, 2 
deliver or sell any food if such food (1) is intended for human 3 
consumption, and (2) contains (A) brominated vegetable oil, (B) 4 
potassium bromate, (C) propylparaben, or (D) red dye number three. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To prohibit the manufacture, distribution, delivery or sale of foods 
containing certain additives.
