AN ACT INCENTIVIZING EDUCATIONAL AND WORKFORCE ACHIEVEMENT AS A MEANS OF REDUCING A PROBATIONER'S TERM OF SUPERVISION. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 961 of the general statutes be amended to permit Adult 1 Probation Services, without leave of the court, to incentivize educational 2 and employment achievement by awarding a compliant probationer 3 with (1) a sixty-day reduction of such probationer's term of supervision 4 for each educational advancement activity completed by the 5 probationer during a term of probation, and (2) a thirty-day reduction 6 of such probationer's term of supervision for each workforce activity 7 completed by the probationer during a term of probation. 8 Statement of Purpose: To incentivize educational and workforce achievement as a means of reducing a probationer's term of supervision.
