AN ACT CONCERNING STOPPING A MOTOR VEHICLE IF THE OPERATOR OR A PASSENGER IS SMOKING CANNABIS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 53a-213a and 53a-213b of the general statutes be 1 amended to delete subsection (c) of each section. 2 Statement of Purpose: To permit a law enforcement officer to stop a motor vehicle if the officer witnesses the operator or a passenger smoking cannabis.
