AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONSIDERATION OF PUBLIC SAFETY WHEN DETERMINING WHETHER TO TRANSFER A JUVENILE TO ADULT COURT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subparagraph (C) of subdivision (3) of subsection (a) of section 1 46b-127 of the general statutes and subdivision (3) of subsection (b) of 2 section 46b-127 of the general statutes be amended to read "after 3 weighing the best interests of the child, the best interests of the public 4 will not be served by maintaining the case in the superior court for 5 juvenile matters." 6 Statement of Purpose: To place greater weight on the safety of the public when a court considers the transference of a juvenile to adult court.
