AN ACT REQUIRING A CLEAR AND CONSPICUOUS STATEMENT
CONCERNING AN EMPLOYEE'S RIGHT TO NOT PARTICIPATE IN A
UNION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapters 68 and 113 of the general statutes be amended to 1
require collective bargaining agreements and related employee notices 2
to include a clear and conspicuous statement notifying an employee of 3
such employee's right to not be a member of an employee organization. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To provide clear disclosures on collective bargaining agreements of a
public employee's right to opt out of membership in a union.
