| 23 | 23 | That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to allow 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | municipal construction projects to be exempt from the prevailing wage 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | requirements when the municipality can demonstrate, by a majority 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | vote of the legislative body of that municipality, that adhering to the 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | prevailing wage requirements will cause an undue financial hardship, 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | including, but not limited to, instances where health and safety would 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | be jeopardized by a project not being completed due to a lack of 7 | |
| 30 | 30 | sufficient funds to pay costs associated with prevailing wage 8 | |
