AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND
ADDICTION SERVICES TO SEPARATE INDIVIDUALS OF DIFFERENT
SEXES AT ALL TIMES WHILE SUCH INDIVIDUALS ARE AT
CONNECTICUT VALLEY HOSPITAL FOR PSYCHIATRIC
EVALUATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Mental Health and Addiction Services to keep individuals of different 2
sexes separated at all times while at Connecticut Valley Hospital for 3
psychiatric evaluations. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To protect individuals visiting Connecticut Valley Hospital for
psychiatric evaluations.
