AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROOF OF OWNERSHIP FOR THE
RELEASE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN TOWED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-145b of the general statutes be amended to permit the 1
owner of a towed vehicle, or such owner's authorized representative, to 2
present the vehicle's certificate of title as proof of ownership in order to 3
regain possession of such vehicle for the limited purpose of towing such 4
vehicle to another location. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To permit the owner of a towed vehicle to present the vehicle's
certificate of title as proof of ownership in order to regain possession of
such vehicle for the purpose of towing such vehicle to another location.
