AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF "CONNECTICUT MENTAL
HEALTH" COMMEMORATIVE NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to (1) provide 1
that the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles issue commemorative number 2
plates of a design to enhance public awareness of mental health services 3
and suicide prevention, and (2) establish a "Mental Health account", 4
which shall contain any funds obtained from the issuance of such 5
number plates and be used by municipalities to support mental health 6
and suicide prevention services. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a "Connecticut Mental Health" commemorative number
plate and raise awareness, and provide funding to municipalities, for
mental health and suicide prevention services.
