1818 AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTRIC CAR BATTERIES.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require (1) the 1
2323 manufacturer of an electric vehicle to label the electric vehicle with 2
2424 information that (A) lists the components of each battery in the electric 3
2525 vehicle, (B) identifies the country or countries of origin for each such 4
2626 component, (C) provides the corresponding percentage for each such 5
2727 component of each battery, and (D) specifies the number of miles the 6
2828 electric vehicle must be operated to achieve carbon neutrality, and (2) 7
2929 the car dealer of an electric vehicle to label the electric vehicle with an 8
3030 estimation of the monthly cost of electricity to fully charge the electric 9
3131 vehicle based upon the annualized average of the previous year's cost 10
3232 of electricity wherein the car dealer is located. 11
3333 Statement of Purpose:
3434 To increase transparency by providing an individual who purchases an
3535 electric vehicle with information concerning each battery in the electric
3636 vehicle.
