AN ACT CONCERNING THE PREVAILING WAGE THRESHOLD FOR 
RENOVATIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That subsection (h) of section 31-53 of the general statutes be 1 
amended to (1) increase the total cost threshold for remodeling, 2 
refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair of any 3 
public works project from one hundred thousand dollars to two 4 
hundred fifty thousand dollars, and (2) require such total cost threshold 5 
to be indexed annually to reflect the rate of inflation. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To increase the total cost threshold for renovations of any public works 
project and to require such threshold to be indexed to reflect inflation.
