AN ACT CONCERNING SKILLED TRADE LICENSING RECIPROCITY, 
LICENSING FEES AND APPRENTICESHIP RATIOS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to (1) provide licensing 1 
reciprocity to skilled tradespersons who are licensed in other states and 2 
whose work is necessary to construct homes in this state, (2) limit 3 
licensing fees for skilled tradespersons to not more than one hundred 4 
dollars annually, (3) eliminate apprenticeship ratios for any entity with 5 
fewer than twenty licensees, and (4) change the apprenticeship ratio to 6 
one apprentice to one licensee for any entity with at least twenty 7 
licensees. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide for licensing reciprocity for skilled tradespersons, cap 
licensing fees applicable to skilled tradespersons and modify the 
required apprenticeship ratios applicable to the skilled trades.
