LCO No. 1072 1 of 2 General Assembly Proposed Bill No. 390 January Session, 2025 LCO No. 1072 Referred to Committee on HUMAN SERVICES Introduced by: SEN. GORDON, 35th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID AND MEDICARE RATE REIMBURSEMENT PARITY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Increase 1 Medicaid reimbursement rates up to one hundred per cent of the 2 corresponding Medicare rates for covered inpatient and outpatient 3 services, including, but not limited to, services provided by physicians, 4 other health care professionals, dentists, hospitals, health care facilities, 5 emergency medical transportation providers and pharmacies, (2) 6 increase such rates annually for inflation as measured by the consumer 7 price index, (3) amend the Medicaid state plan as necessary to 8 implement such rate increases, (4) review such rates not less frequently 9 than every four years unless otherwise required by state or federal law 10 or more frequently as determined by the Department of Social Services 11 or the legislature, and (5) require the department to submit findings 12 concerning such rate reviews to the joint standing committees of the 13 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to 14 appropriations and human services. 15 Proposed Bill No. 390 LCO No. 1072 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To equalize Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement rates.
