1818 AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID AND MEDICARE RATE
1919 REIMBURSEMENT PARITY.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Increase 1
2424 Medicaid reimbursement rates up to one hundred per cent of the 2
2525 corresponding Medicare rates for covered inpatient and outpatient 3
2626 services, including, but not limited to, services provided by physicians, 4
2727 other health care professionals, dentists, hospitals, health care facilities, 5
2828 emergency medical transportation providers and pharmacies, (2) 6
2929 increase such rates annually for inflation as measured by the consumer 7
3030 price index, (3) amend the Medicaid state plan as necessary to 8
3131 implement such rate increases, (4) review such rates not less frequently 9
3232 than every four years unless otherwise required by state or federal law 10
3333 or more frequently as determined by the Department of Social Services 11
3434 or the legislature, and (5) require the department to submit findings 12
3535 concerning such rate reviews to the joint standing committees of the 13
3636 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to 14
