| 20 | 20 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
| 21 | 21 | Assembly convened: | |

| 23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | Energy and Environmental Protection to develop a permit for 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | undertaking any weather modification techniques in the state, including 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | cloud seeding. Additionally, such permit shall be required before 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | undertaking any such activity and the applicant shall be required to 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | disclose to such agency such activities and undertake an environmental 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | impact assessment to evaluate potential risks and ensure public health 7 | |
| 30 | 30 | and safety and protection of the environment. As well, any such activity 8 | |
| 31 | 31 | that has significant adverse effects would be prohibited or strictly 9 | |
| 32 | 32 | controlled. 10 | |
