AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TAX ON CERTAIN POLITICAL
COMMITTEES AND CANDIDATE COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a tax on political 1
committees and candidate committees that raise and spend funds in the 2
state and to dedicate the revenue generated from such tax to the support 3
of the Citizens' Election Program and other elections-related endeavors. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a tax on political committees and candidate committees that
raise and spend funds in the state and to dedicate the revenue generated
from such tax to the support of the Citizens' Election Program and other
elections-related endeavors.
