AN ACT ESTABLISHING A CAT REDEMPTION PILOT PROGRAM
WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That a cat redemption pilot program be established within the 1
Department of Correction to allow for the adoption of stray cats to be 2
cared for by selected persons who are incarcerated. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a cat redemption pilot program within the Department of
Correction for the well-being of persons who are incarcerated and to
provide a solution to the problem of abandoned and stray cats.
