AN ACT CLARIFYING THE CONNECTICUT MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 113 of the general statutes be amended to clarify the role, 1
responsibilities and expectations of both municipalities participating in 2
the Connecticut municipal employees' retirement system and the State 3
Employees Retirement Commission in administering the Connecticut 4
municipal employees' retirement system. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To address and mitigate potential conflicts between municipalities and
the State Employees Retirement Commission concerning the procedures
of and municipal retirement contributions to the Connecticut municipal
employees' retirement system.
