AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND 
FAMILIES TO HOLD A REUNIFICATION HEARING WITHIN 
FOURTEEN DAYS OF THE RECOMMENDATION OF UNIFICATION BY 
A LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Department of Children and Families to hold a reunification hearing not 2 
later than fourteen days after a licensed psychologist recommends the 3 
reunification of a child in the temporary custody of the department with 4 
a parent or guardian. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require the Department of Children and Families to hold a 
reunification hearing not later than fourteen days after a licensed 
psychologist recommends the reunification of a child in the temporary 
custody of the department with a parent or guardian.
