AN ACT REQUIRING TITLE PROTECTION FOR PHYSICIANS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any person from 1 using the title "physician" or any initials associated with such title that 2 represents to the public that such person is authorized to practice 3 medicine or surgery and from advertising services under the 4 description of "physician" unless such person is licensed, registered or 5 otherwise authorized under chapter 370 of the general statutes. 6 Statement of Purpose: To require title protection for physicians.
