AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY BODY
WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of 1
Public Health to establish an advisory body consisting of five public 2
health experts to provide guidance to the Department of Public Health 3
regarding such experts' evaluation of recommendations by the Centers 4
for Disease Control and Prevention and the federal Food and Drug 5
Administration using evidence-based data from peer-reviewed 6
literature and studies. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that the Department of Public Health benefits from the
expertise of an advisory board on critical public health matters.
