AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SALE OF TOBACCO, ELECTRONIC
NICOTINE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND VAPOR PRODUCTS BY NEW
RETAILERS WITHIN A CERTAIN DISTANCE OF A SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale of tobacco, 1
electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products by new 2
retailers within one thousand feet of a school or, if a municipality has an 3
existing law prohibiting the sale of alcohol within a certain distance of a 4
school, to prohibit the sale of tobacco, electronic nicotine delivery 5
systems and vapor products in such municipality within the same 6
distance of a school as the restricted distance set forth in such law. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To prioritize public health.
