AN ACT CONCERNING SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH IN EPILEPSY
AWARENESS AND EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to (1) require certain 1
health care practitioners to provide epilepsy patients and their families 2
with information concerning the risk of sudden unexpected death in 3
epilepsy and methods to mitigate such risk, and (2) increase sudden 4
unexpected death in epilepsy awareness and education among such 5
health care practitioners. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To increase epilepsy patients' and certain health care practitioners'
awareness and education concerning sudden unexpected death in
epilepsy.
