1818 AN ACT CONCERNING LONG -TERM ACUTE CARE HOSPITALS.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That the general statutes be amended to (1) require the Department 1
2323 of Public Health to study the regulatory framework of long-term acute 2
2424 care hospitals, including, but not limited to, (A) any regulatory burdens 3
2525 such as duplicative employee fingerprinting requirements, (B) the 4
2626 appropriateness of current oversight mechanisms, and (C) any 5
2727 regulatory inconsistencies and their impact on the ability of such 6
2828 hospitals to delivery timely and effective care, and (2) require equitable 7
2929 reimbursement rates for long-term acute care hospitals under the 8
3030 Medicaid program. 9
