19 | 19 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
20 | 20 | Assembly convened: | |

22 | 22 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) require the Department 1 | |
23 | 23 | of Public Health to study the regulatory framework of long-term acute 2 | |
24 | 24 | care hospitals, including, but not limited to, (A) any regulatory burdens 3 | |
25 | 25 | such as duplicative employee fingerprinting requirements, (B) the 4 | |
26 | 26 | appropriateness of current oversight mechanisms, and (C) any 5 | |
27 | 27 | regulatory inconsistencies and their impact on the ability of such 6 | |
28 | 28 | hospitals to delivery timely and effective care, and (2) require equitable 7 | |
29 | 29 | reimbursement rates for long-term acute care hospitals under the 8 | |
30 | 30 | Medicaid program. 9 | |
