| 24 | 24 | That the general statutes be amended to: (1) Establish a program to 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | provide grants to municipalities to support the enforcement of laws 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | concerning street takeovers and street racing, (2) increase licensure 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | penalties for violating laws concerning street takeovers and street 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | racing, (3) extend existing criminal penalties for illegally operating a 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | motor vehicle to violations of laws concerning street racing and street 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | takeovers, (4) authorize municipalities to adopt ordinances that penalize 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | street takeovers and street racing, (5) authorize municipalities to destroy 8 | |
| 32 | 32 | all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes and mini-motorcycles that are seized and 9 | |
| 33 | 33 | forfeited for violating a municipal ordinance, and (6) limit current 10 | |
