AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF "BREAST CANCER
AWARENESS" COMMEMORATIVE NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
(1) the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles issue commemorative number 2
plates of a design to enhance public awareness of efforts to treat and 3
prevent breast cancer, and (2) a fee shall be charged for the issuance of 4
such number plates to pay the administrative cost of issuing such 5
number plates and fund breast cancer treatment and prevention 6
programs. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To create a special license plate to promote women's health and increase
funding for breast cancer treatment and prevention programs.
