2222 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ABSENTEE VOTING PROCESS.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) specify that 1
2727 absentee ballots may only be counted on the day of an election, (2) 2
2828 provide consistency across all municipalities as to processing of 3
2929 absentee ballots prior to the day of an election, and (3) allow registrars 4
3030 of voters to contact electors for the purpose of curing unsigned absentee 5
3131 ballot envelopes. 6
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To specify that absentee ballots may only be counted on election day,
3434 provide consistency among towns as to pre-election processing of such
3535 ballots and allow for the curing of unsigned absentee ballot envelopes.
