AN ACT CONCERNING REPORTS ON THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL
NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to submit a report, on a quarterly basis, 2
to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 3
cognizance of matters relating to transportation regarding (1) the 4
amount of funds collected for the issuance of special number plates that 5
are in addition to the regular fee or fees prescribed for the registration 6
of a motor vehicle and the administrative costs of issuing such number 7
plates, and (2) how such funds were expended. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to submit reports
detailing the amount of the funds collected for the issuance of special
number plates and how such funds were expended.
