AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROHIBITION OF THE USE OF SMART
PHONES IN ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Education to adopt regulations prohibiting the use of smart phones by 2
students in grades kindergarten to eight, inclusive, during the school 3
day. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of smart phones by students in grades kindergarten
to eight, inclusive, during the school day.
