AN ACT LIMITING STUDENT CELL PHONE USE IN SCHOOLS
DURING SCHOOL HOURS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require local and 1
regional boards of education to adopt policies limiting the use of cell 2
phones by students in grades six to twelve, inclusive, during the regular 3
school day. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the use of cell phones in schools to foster a distraction-free
learning environment.
