1818 AN ACT REPEALING CERTAIN ELECTRIC SUBSIDIES, PROGRAMS
1919 AND TAX EXEMPTIONS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to (1) repeal any subsidy 1
2424 program that has the effect of increasing electric demand, (2) prohibit 2
2525 the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority from creating any new 3
2626 program, (3) repeal any authority granted to the Public Utilities 4
2727 Regulatory Authority to regulate the installation of electric vehicle 5
2828 chargers, (4) repeal any authority for any political subdivision of the 6
2929 state to establish any program providing zero-interest loans for the 7
3030 installation of heat pumps, and (5) repeal any tax exemption provided 8
3131 to data centers pursuant to section 32-286 of the general statutes. 9
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To (1) repeal any subsidy program that has the effect of increasing
3434 electric demand, (2) prohibit the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority
3535 from creating any new program, (3) repeal any authority granted to the

3737 electric vehicle chargers, (4) repeal any authority for any political
