AN ACT CONCERNING MENTAL HEALTH PARITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of general statutes be amended to require that the 1
Insurance Department (1) establish a penalty for any health carrier in 2
this state who does not comply with the restriction on nonquantitative 3
treatment limitations for mental health and substance use disorder 4
benefits, and (2) publish on its Internet web site the name of any such 5
health carrier who fails to comply with the restriction on 6
nonquantitative treatment limitations for mental health and substance 7
use disorder benefits. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the Insurance Department (1) establish a penalty for any
health carrier in this state who does not comply with the restriction on
nonquantitative treatment limitations for mental health and substance
use disorder benefits, and (2) publish on its Internet web site the name
of any such health carrier who fails to comply with the restriction on
nonquantitative treatment limitations for mental health and substance
use disorder benefits.
