AN ACT CONCERNING THE REGULATION OF PRIVATE EQUITY
OWNERSHIP OF HOSPITALS, RADIOLOGY GROUPS AND DRUG
REHABILITATION FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) expand the authority of 1
the Attorney General and Commissioner of Health Strategy to regulate 2
private equity ownership of hospitals, radiology groups and drug 3
rehabilitation facilities, and (2) restrict self-dealing property 4
transactions. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the authority of the Attorney General and Commissioner of
Health Strategy to regulate private equity ownership of certain health
care facilities and restrict self-dealing property transactions.
