AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION OF
SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to assist local and 1
regional boards of education in recruiting and retaining school bus 2
drivers, including, but not limited to, providing grants to help cover the 3
costs of health insurance for such school bus drivers. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To alleviate the school bus driver shortage by assisting municipalities
and school districts in the recruitment and retention of school bus
drivers.
